The Package Design Tester uses a 25 LBS weight to crush test the student's design. This very popular project tests the design and innovative skills of your students in an slam - crash - bam way! The testing window is 5" wide x 5" deep x 10" tall. The student uses a rope and pulley system to raise the 25lbs weight to the desired height up to 72" high and then releases the rope and gravity takes over slamming the weight into the project. You will be amazed at the solutions your students present! Concept & skills include; gravity, acceleration, mass, structures, geometry, planning, mathematics, measurement, limited materials usage, optimization and more! *requires mounting to a wall stud using the supplied hardware.
